As a child, each visit to the Barbershop was an intriguing experience for me, where noisy tools met sure hands. but after moving to Bangalore from Kochi, the language barrier threatened to hinder this experience. recently it crossed my mind, to explore the interactions with the Barber community and reveal how language transcends the form of words and is instead born out of imagery and mere gestures. a prominent part of the community's identity comes from their ability to withstand and tackle challenges both social and economical without letting it curtail their aesthetic skills or sincerity.
