GPS IN FLESH AND BLOOD

Illustration /Light Installation

College project

The concept of surveillance for survival is inspired from the boundless flight of pigeons for sustenance and how their topographic knowledge was used to carry messages in the past. In the urban context, pigeons are compared to constantly moving auto-rickshaw drivers [and other similar service providers] who are aware and continually updated about the pulse and lifestyle of the vicinity through it's interaction with commuters and surrounding. Through my installation, I would like to show how auto drivers interpret and filter information from people's conversations and use it to help other passengers who need such data.
